The Property: Motel and Outbuildings.

Before it was bulldozed to accommodate new construction, The Toll House Motel (aka the vampire hotel of Charlotte, NC, the Queen City) consisted of several building on the property. Located on 2116 West Morehead Street in Charlotte, NC (in Mecklenburg County), the motel grounds included a 1920s style brick Tudor-style revival building, or the main hotel.  Resident cottages were added to the rear of the property during the 1950s, when the highway system came into effect, and cross-country travel begin to boom. Additionally, a tourist home was added at this time (the one story dwelling with bay window and entry porch, seen on the front of the property).
